do you eat all the stuff inside or do you eat the stuff off the seeds and then spit them out? this question need to be answered!!
How do you eat a pomegranate?
the seeds are edible
theyre kinda crunchy, but if you dont like that, spit them out
its kinda like a reverse fruit
Reply:After opening the pomegranate by scoring it with a knife and breaking it open, the arils (seed casings) are separated from the skin (peel) and internal white supporting structures (pith and carpellary membrane). Separating the red arils can be simplified by performing this task in a bowl of water, whereby the arils will sink and the white structures will float to the top. The entire seed is consumed raw, though the fleshy outer portion of the seed is the part that is desired. The taste differs depending on the variety of pomegranate and its state of ripeness. It can be very sweet or it can be very sour or tangy, but most fruits lie somewhere in between, which is the characteristic taste, laced with notes of its tannin.
Reply:I peel it back and eat the entire seed, juice and small pit. My husband chews until he has a mouth full of seeds and spits the seeds out. I don%26#039;t think the seed taste like anything and they are so small you hardly could call them seeds. I don%26#039;t know the answer to %26quot;what is correct%26quot;, of course I think my way is...
Reply:Contrary to two of the other answers, yes, you eat the seeds. You do not need to spit them out, and I have never known anyone to do so. And I%26#039;ve eaten a lot of pomegranates in my day.
Reply:cut it in half and suck the juice from the little red seeds, but don%26#039;t eat the little seeds in side.
nothing happens if you do though!!!
Reply:I eat the stuff off the seeds and then spit them out. Be careful with the juice because it stains.
Reply:Being Funny take no offence
Step 1: Wash out side of fruit and cut it in half
Step 2: Take all seeds out that are covered in red
Step 3: Start popping those seed in your mouth and suking off the red and spit out the seeds
Throw away the rest
:D
Reply:you just get the juice from the seeds. i don%26#039;t think you eat the insides. don%26#039;t eat the seeds either! haha
Reply:I peel them and then eat the whole seed.
Reply:You have to cut the pomegrante and eat drink the juice from the seeds and you can chew the seeds but make sure not to choke on them or eat the seeds. You do have to spit them out though sometimes because they can get too tough and they taste kind of nasty . Just don%26#039;t eat the peel it%26#039;s like the rind of the orange or the peel of a banana that you just don%26#039;t want to eat.
Reply:you eat the seeds
Reply:I think taht you should just chew the seeds and suck off the pulp. I hate to say say it but i dont think that they taste good enough to be worth the effort.
Reply:well u can peel off the skin and eat the seeds only. dont eat that other stuff.
Reply:it is all up to you!
Reply:you break it open (they%26#039;re ripest when they%26#039;re breaking open)
and chew the seeds. you CAN swallow the seeds, but, you don%26#039;t have to.
Reply:Ewww!
I hate the seeds cos, to me, they taste kinda bitter.
But, the pink flesh is niiice.

Pomegranate juice is also v good...
God knows how they get all that juice from those pathetic little kernels!
Yeh, all you do is rip the pomegranate open and eat the little balls in there.

My parents are drinking pomegranate juice for it's health benefits. How much should they drink in one day?
Pomegrantes are excellent. Drinking a glass or two should be fine. It%26#039;s very high in antioxidants. All dark colored or deep berries are excellent in containing antioxidants, not just pomegranates. They are popular in the MidEast like in Israel and Egypt, way back from the biblical days.

cut it into quarters, pull out the seeds, and suck the juices off of them. the seeds are surrounded by a small sack of juice. The juice is the only part thats edible.
Reply:You eat the seed and yes its very delicious and sweet!!
Reply:Peel off outer skin, pull out little %26quot;seed%26quot;. Pop them in your mouth and then spit out the pits. Time consuming but delicious!
I%26#039;m sure there are cooked methods but that%26#039;s how I eat them fresh.

Reply:cut it open and eat the lil corn kernel seeds
Reply:Eat the seeds.
Reply:They are good but a pain in the butt..
Crack them open and eat the little balls, then spit out the seed.
It is a ton of work just for a little fruit :)
Reply:peel the fruit and eat the seeds inside. Some people eat the whole kernel, including the seed, others spit them out. There are membrane layers in the fruit that are light yellow to the best of my recollection that you also peel away and find more kernels. As kids we always used toothpicks to pick the kernels out. It was a fun but time consuming activity.

Is the drink Rockstar Pomegranate bad for you health??
I want to know because I am going on a diet and I love it way to much !!
Is the drink Rockstar Pomegranate bad for you health??
Yes, it is bad for your health. Way too much sugar that may ruin your diet, preventing you from losing weight. Rockstar Pom probably has only 1/2 a teaspoon of Pom Juice in it.
Can you pronounce all the ingredients in it?
.

Can i grow a pomegranate tree in louisville, ky?
i wanted to see if its possible, if so...what are the months i can start growing them and do i use the little seeds inside them?
Can i grow a pomegranate tree in louisville, ky?
Check with a local nursery but I doubt that the pomegranate tree could survive the winters in Kentucky.
Reply:Your hardiness zone should be 6b
It is my understanding that they will grow in zone 6a/b but will not produce fruit. That they produce fruit best in zones 8 to 11. Dwarf container grown produces good fruit in the colder zones.
I live in zone 6a MO. Would love to give it a try.
My theory, you won%26#039;t know until you try it. So why not try.
Good Luck! Yum Yum!
Hardiness for pomegranate
USDA zone 6 B - 11.
Pomegranate are considered subtropical, yet they are cold-hardy to Sunset zone 5 Shrub grows to approximately 10 feet. They are self-fruitful and bear heavily, even when young. USDA zones 7-10. Sunset zones 5-24

There are at least 4 brands that I%26#039;ve found and it comes in tall bottles. Pick a brand whose syrup/molasses is very thick as it works better. You can add some liquid if your recipe calls for a thinner product or use it as a flavoring right as it is. Makes a great hummus dip if you add some for flavor, and try it with well ground walnuts instead of garbanza beans for a different twist. How to plant a pomegranate tree?
Bascially you plant it just like would any other tree. Twice as wide as the container it came in. And at least the same depth as the container.
They have a beautiful bright orange blooms. They like almost any type of soil. If you have clayish type soil I recommend some type of compost mixed in with current soil.
How to plant a pomegranate tree?
Hi:
Planting a Pomegranate tree is the same as planting most tree specimens. The main goal is to find a good sunny location for your Pomegranate. The Pomegranate is a warm climate tree and loves the sun. You can opt to put it in an existing garden or you can plant it in an open area. I have a Pomegranate tree in an open area. I live in zone seven and it is deciduous in the winter.
You will want to properly prepare your ground for planting. If you are just digging a hole, make sure the hole is wide and deep enough for the root ball. Turn your dirt over and also add some mushroom compost into the soil This is a great organic fertilizer and will work up to one year. It doesn%26#039;t smell great but your tree will love it. You will want to water it regularly, but don%26#039;t over water it. Add some mulch or pine straw around the base of the tree to help retain moisture.
I have a page in the simple solutions section of my website on planting a tree. It talks about the proper way to plant a tree using a container plant or a ball and burlap.
I will also link you to the site map page as this has everything that is on the website. Browse through as there are many articles, tips and techniques on a lot of aspects of landscaping. Watering techniques, trees going into shock, and many other topics.
I hope this helps some and if you need any further help, please feel free to contact me at the website. Good luck to you and have a great day!

Where can I buy pomegranate seeds?
I just want to eat them and not deal with the mess! lol
Where can I buy pomegranate seeds?
just buy a pomegranate, enjoy it and save and dry the seeds.
That worked for me last year, and now I have several little trees!
oops, probably should have read the details!
Reply:you can buy them at most indian grocery stores.
that is where i buy mine to cook with.
;-)
Reply:Well most stores do not sell the seeded variety of pomegranates. The best way to get what you want without the mess is follow these guidelines when seeding a pom:
1) Slice each end of the pom off...some rind off the bottom and top.
2) Score the pom in four directions along the rind.
3) Get a bowl full of cold water, and begin breaking apart the pom.
4) Seed all the fruit out into the water, and once it is seeded, rinse, drain and store the seeds in an airtight container.
Placing the pom%26#039;s in water while seeding helps eliminate the mess. I tend to do it in the sink, and it takes me a total of 10 mins. to seed a very large pom.
It is worth the effort for the flavor and healthiness of the pom...so enjoy a little work for your pleasure and health! :)
Reply:i don%26#039;t think you can. if you just buy plan old pomogranate seeds they%26#039;ll be dry and not taste good!
Reply:Why do you just want to eat the seeds? I find them bitter. I buy pomegranates, suck the juice and discard the seeds.
Reply:health food store
Reply:Not going to happen.
Peeling one is an art. Start at the top at the %26quot;ring and peel back the skin. You may need a dull knife to start the peeling. Then it will expose sections, like oranges. Getting the first section out can be a challenge, you dig into the white/yellow stuff and pick it out with the seeds attached. After that is is easy to peel off the inner skins and release the rest of the sections.
Outside red skin off first, that is the trick (don%26#039;t try to cut it, the juice stains your clothes)
Reply:...no such thing as pre-packaged pom seeds...you are stuck with doing it the messy way like mankind has for thousands of years...
Reply:I have no idea.
Reply:I just saw them at albertson%26#039;s yesterday.there about3 dollars.

Reply:Where do you live? If you have any Persian stores around you, they may have them. I know there are two of them where I live (Irvine, CA) and one them always carries it. They are great aren%26#039;t they? Good luck!

How can I make pomegranate wine?
Pomegranate
* 6 pomegranates
* 1 pound raisins
* 4 cups granulated sugar
* 2 teaspoon acid blend
* 1 tsp pectic enzyme
* 1 teaspoon yeast nutrient
* 1 campden tablet
* 1 package wine yeast
* water
Split open pomegranates. Remove seeds, being careful to exclude the pith and skin. Crush the fruit. Add 12 cups of water and all other ingredients except the yeast. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Let sit overnight.
Specific gravity should be between 1.090 and 1.095. Sprinkle yeast over the mixture and stir. Stir daily for five or six days, until specific gravity is 1.050.
Strain the must and squeeze the juice out lightly so not too much tannin escapes from the seeds. Siphon into secondary fermentor and attach airlock.
For a dry wine, rack in three weeks, and every three months for one year. Bottle.
For a sweet wine, rack at three weeks. Add 1/2 cup sugar dissolved in 1 cup wine. Stir gently, and place back into secondary fermentor. Repeat process every six weeks until fermentation does not restart with the addition of sugar. Rack every three months until one year old. Bottle.
The wine is best if you can refrain from drinking it for one full year from the date it was started.

I have a big pomegranate tree?
in compound of my house
It bears abundance of flowers every year
which fall down and remain only 9-10 fruits.
Is there any remedy?
I have a big pomegranate tree?
To fruit well Pomegranates need long, hot dry summers. They like almost any type of soil but not if it%26#039;s cold and waterlogged. They also enjoy full sun and dislike humidity which causes fruits to be of poor quality. In winter, they can cope with some cold temperatures but are not really hardy and can be killed/damaged by severe frost. If your tree does not already enjoy these conditions then it is unlikely ever to fruit well. You could try feeding it in Spring (manure or general purpose fertiliser) and pruning back some branches to stimulate new growth but unless you have the basic climate you won%26#039;t get good fruit and flowers.
As an alternative you could propagate some new trees (pomegranate cuttings root really easily): take a shoot from the tree about 10 inches long and stick it in a pot of compost, it should root pretty quickly. You can then grow it on in bigger pots and indeed keep it in a tub its whole life (pomegranates are well suited to growing in a tub). If you grow your new tub tree in a greenhouse then you have a much better chance of getting flowers and fruit. I live in U.K. and my pomegranate flowers and fruits under glass which it would NEVER do outside. From a shoot cutting expect flowers and fruit in about 3-5 years. Good luck!

How much does a pomegranate tea cost usually?
It depends where you live. Prices ALWAYS vary by region and by retail source. Ever notice how it is always more expensive to buy a drink at a convenience store than a grocery store?
However, a good place to check prices might be NexTag.com

How can you get pomegranate juice stain out of cotton twill pants?
The BEST thing to do is get some %26#039;Oxi-Clean%26#039;. Follow the directions on the label. Don%26#039;t try to over-power the stain. And you don%26#039;t have to worry about ruining the garment, Oxi-Clean only works up to six hours, then stops. If you have any other questions, call the number on the label.

Do you ever use pomegranate juice in cooking?

Do you ever use pomegranate juice in cooking?
Baking torts.
Reply:Use it all the time. Makes a great vinagrette - pom juice, olive oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. I also make a great glaze for meats - steaks, roasts, chops. In saucepan, place 2 cups pom juice, 1 tspn salt, 1/2 cup honey, 1 tspn pepper, pinch cayanne pepper, 1 clove garlic, minced. Cook this until it becomes thick and syrupy. Glaze meats with this. Also excellent as a ham glaze.
Reply:drink it straight
Reply:No, only in drinking.
Dryed peel of pomegranate or ( its rind) is melted to :
1- Henna leaves in order to darken the dyeing of hairs.
2- Snail cooking (traditionnal recipe).
3-As a medicine plant (astringent) for gastritis for example.

Where can I find " pomegranate juice " ?
I already went to a regular supermarket by me and they don%26#039;t have it. Is there some kind of speciality store that I can find it in? I%26#039;m supposed to cook a pork roast in a crock pot with it.
Where can I find %26quot; pomegranate juice %26quot; ?
At my store we have different locations. Some are in the produce sections...others are in the juice section:)
Reply:Depending on where you live, you can try a couple of different stores.
POM of course is the national recognized brand, but the independent smaller stores usually carry a cheaper version with the same quality.
You can try Whole Foods, Henry%26#039;s, Wild Oats, or Trader Joe%26#039;s.
Good Luck!
Reply:Where I live they have this type of juice in a section of the dairy case along with OJ that needs to be kept cold. It has become so popular as someone mentioned that it shouldn%26#039;t be that hard to find.
Reply:I%26#039;ve actually found pomegranate juice in the produce section. It%26#039;s usually kept chilled. Good Luck...sounds wonderful with pork roast!!
Reply:I found it in the produce section or at health stores.
Reply:Most regular supermarkets have this juice since it%26#039;s become so popular and usually it%26#039;s by the fresh fruits or on the shelf in the organic section. A popuplar brand for this juice is %26quot;POM%26quot;. Try another supermarket maybe in the next town over. Otherwise, try a health or gourmet food store. Another alternative is to try another tart juice for your braising recipe like cranberry or even prune juice.
Reply:Try a mediterranean specialty shop that imports such stuff.
Reply:Not sure what state you are in but pomegranate juice is widely available. Check your supermarkets-sometimes they will have it by the produce. There are so many things made now from it. If you cannot find, substitute cranberry juice in it%26#039;s place-worked just as well. I am a chef and I use these items every day. You want something different. Get a fresh pomegranate and remove the seeds. Dry them and then process to a small or ground texture. Use this in place of pepper
Reply:the grocery store in my neighborhood has it in the organic or natural foods refrigerated section... where they have the soy cheese, etc
Reply:At my local store it isn%26#039;t sold in the juice aisle. It%26#039;s kept in the chilled section where they sell single juices and carbonated beverages. I%26#039;m attaching a link to the kind that I see everywhere, it%26#039;s a pretty distinctive bottle shape.

Easy way to remove pomegranate seeds from the shell???
i saw an easy way to remove them on the %26quot;iron chef%26quot; but i forget what they did!
help!!
Easy way to remove pomegranate seeds from the shell???
On the iron chef, they cut it in half. Turned the cut side to the bowl and wacked it with a spoon several times. Worked like a charm.
Reply:To remove pomegranate seeds
Cut the crown end off a pomegranate, removing with it some of the white pith. Lightly score the skin in quarters, from the stem to the crown end. Immerse the scored fruit in a large bowl of cool water and soak for 5 minutes. Under water, break sections apart, separating the seed clusters from the membranes. Discard the skins and membranes. Drain the seeds and dry on paper towels.
Reply:cut in half and hit the end of it with a wooden spoon while holding it upside down
Reply:Just spoon them out. Its not that hard. Maybe try cutting around where the seeds are and bang it on the table to get them to come out.
Reply:Anyway you do it, requires time and patience.
They come from Afghanistan and are a
symbol of fertility. Just score the outer peel
and start learning patience. I really hate this fruit.
You just gently roll the seeds out. They stain.
The white part inside, is good for stopping bleeding,
but it taste awful and will pucker your mouth up.

How do I make pomegranate chicken like that found in Mediterranean restaurants ?
Pomegranate Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
2 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups walnuts
1/4 cup flour
2-4 tablespoons olive oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups chicken stock
1/4 cup pomegranate concentrate
to taste, salt and pepper
Serves / Yields
Serves 4
Preparation Instructions
Rinse and separate the chicken into four pieces. Flatten by removing the tenderloin (that skinny little part underneath), and then covering with plastic wrap and pounding until thickness is fairly even, about 1/2 inch.
Chop the walnuts coarsely with the flour in a food processor. Put the egg and the walnut mix into separate shallow dishes. Salt and pepper each chicken piece, then dip into beaten egg, followed by walnut coating. Press the coating on both sides so it sticks.
Heat the oil in a sauté pan. Add the chicken and brown both sides. Cook through, about 10 to 15 minutes total. Don’t crowd the pan and don’t worry about some of the walnut mixture falling off (it thickens the sauce). Remove the chicken and keep warm.
Add the chicken stock and pomegranate concentrate to the pan. Cook, scraping up the brown bits, for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning. Pour over the chicken and serve.

Statistics on rimmom or pomegranate juice lowering blood pressure.?
I%26#039;m interested as to how it works. What happens inside the HUMAN body, to cause it to lower blood pressure? Is it the dye as in cranberry juice and urinary infections? If so, is cranberry juice a viable option; it%26#039;s certainly less expense.
Does anyone directly know of folks this has worked for?
Facts Please.
Statistics on rimmom or pomegranate juice lowering blood pressure.?
The two foods I have heard of are celery and green tea. Green tea contain L-theanine which is now available in capsules. I have taken this for a week and my blood pressure was lowered but I don%26#039;t yet know if this will be true over time.
L-Theanine has an effect on GABA which affects anxiety and stress. A relative thought my blood pressure was stress related since dieting did not reduce it.

In a large heavy skillet heat the butter over moderately high heat until the foam subsides, in it saute the chicken, patted dry, turning it once, for 15 minutes, or until it is browned on all sides, and transfer it to a plate. Add the onion to the skillet and cook it over moderately low heat, scraping up the brown bits, for 10 minutes, or until it is golden and softened. Stir in the cinnamon and cook the mixture, stirring, for 1 minute. Stir in the walnuts and cook the mixture, stirring, for 1 minute. Stir in the pomegranate seeds and juice, tomato sauce, broth, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and molasses, bring the mixture to a boil, and simmer it for 3 minutes. Add the chicken and any juices that have accumulated on the plate and simmer the mixture, covered, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Does anyone have any pomegranate recipes?
Oprah has a recipe for pomegranate martinis.
I made some for a party, everyone liked them. The ingedients are pretty expensive though, if you%26#039;re making for a lot of people.

How much does a pomegranate cost?
and where could i find one?
How much does a pomegranate cost?
the cost about 3 dollars... at a produce stand
Reply:usually about a dollar; in more remote areas i can see them charging up to $2 for one; look for one that has minimal bruising and is heavy ( that means that the granules have plenty of juice)
Reply:Well a pomagranite costs about $1.99 at fortinos.

How to peal a pomegranate?
I know there is an easy way to do it. I need a reminder of how it%26#039;s done
How to peal a pomegranate?
here is an easier way to peel a pomegranate. First you cut the pomegranate into quarters them immerse in a large bowl of cold water. Let soak for 10-15 minutes. while immersed you break away the seeds from the rind. The rind floats and is easily removed from water while the seeds sink to the bottom of bowl, use colander to stain water off. like magic your pomegranate is peeled. Enjoy!
Reply:I LIKE TO MAKE 2 SLICES AROUND THE PEAL AND THEN TAKE THE PEAL OFF IN SECTIONS
Reply:Pomegranates are great for desserts, jelly, or just as a healthy snack. Peeling a pomegranate can be a great stress reliever.
Things You%26#039;ll Need
pomegranate
1 medium bowl
1 small bowl
knife
cutting board
paper towels
about 1/2 hour
STEP 1: Cut the top off of your pomegranate so that you can see the juicy seeds called arils.
STEP 2: Use the medium bowl to discard the skin of the pomegranate and the small bowl to hold the arils.
STEP 3: Use your fingernails to pull the skin away from the arils. You will find that the pomegranate will break into sections. Pull to break a section off in order to get to the arils.
STEP 4: Discard the skin of the pomegranate and save the arils in your small bowl. Use the paper towels to clean up your area and hands.
Reply:I cut them in four and pop out the little balls, peel some of the surrounding skin off and pop some more out. I pop em out by turning it inside out. I%26#039;m new to pomegranites, so there could be a better way that I don%26#039;t know about.
Reply:Ijust cut them in half then squeeze and roll between your fingers to free those little bombs of juice

Can i grow a pomegranate tree from seeds?
Can%26#039;t hurt to try. I%26#039;ve grown orange trees and a Mango tree from the seeds/pits of fruit I bought at the store.
Give it a go!!
It a mild-temperate to subtropical plant and naturally adapted to regions with cool winters (NOT %26quot;cold%26quot;) and hot summers. It will grow outdoors as far north as Washington DC, but just not set fruit outdoors that far north.
Pomegranate seeds germinate readily even when merely thrown onto the surface of loose soil

Does Anyone Else Substitute Pomegranate Juice For Wine w/ Meals?
yeah i love pomegranate juice so much and i do substitute it.
Does Anyone Else Substitute Pomegranate Juice For Wine w/ Meals?
I%26#039;m afraid I am boring in that I don%26#039;t drink anything with my meal.
People make the mistake of %26quot;wetting%26quot; the food in their mouths and swallowing it too soon. If it is not chewed thoroughly enough it can lead to digestive problems, or even a greater chance of choking.
I do not ever have a drink in front of me while I eat, but will get myself a glass of cold water immediately following a meal, which I will sip at my leisure over the next two hours or so.

How many calories are in 300 grames of pomegranate seeds? Is pomegranate healthy? Why?
Poms have loads of antioxidants in them. They are sooo good for you. I don%26#039;t think that natural fruit counts towards daily allowance of calories, so eat up!

i eat one every week, they are so good a little messy but if you put it in a bowl and a spoon you will have to eat them all and wanting more, make sure you dont spill any of the juice it will stain, i was eating in bed watching tv and spilled the boil now i have a red stain, lol my wife was not happy with me
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry about the calories in fresh fruits... it%26#039;s irrelevant.
They%26#039;re very healthy due to antioxidants and other chemicals we don%26#039;t fully understand yet. Studies have shown them to be effective against prostrate cancer and breast cancer, among other things.

Is it true: Action Comics #349, Superman battled race of pomegranate-throwing space monkeys from 8th Dimension
Alton Brown, in his %26quot;Fruit 10 from Outer Space%26quot; episode about pomegranates claims the above. Is it true? LINKS requested, please.
Is it true: Action Comics #349, Superman battled race of pomegranate-throwing space monkeys from 8th Dimension
Seems Alton Brown has pulled a fast one one you... Neither Action Comics #349 nor Adventure Comics #349 (Which deals with Superboy and the Leagion of Superheroes) has anything to do with pomegranates thrown by space monkeys. (Though the Superboy stories were weird enough to feature the aforementioned monkies.)
And if cdf-rom says it isn%26#039;t in their collection, then it probably does NOT exist anywhere in any dimension (not even the 8th!)
Reply:Sounds like B S to me. I haven’t seen that one or heard of it and if it’s not in my collection, then --pardon me-- they changed their minds and didn’t print it.

Can hamsters eat pomegranate?
Just wondering, as we have some in the fruit bowl. Also, does anyone know why my cat enjoys eating my hamster%26#039;s dried food?
Thanks
x
Can hamsters eat pomegranate?
They will eat almost anything (broccoli, cheese, yogurt...) Their favorite foods are foods native to their dry habitat, like seeds, cereals, nuts, but make sure that it%26#039;s natural seeds - no roasting or salt, and that the cereal isn%26#039;t sugary.
For protein and variety, they will eat some small insects and egg-white. They like vegetables, but don%26#039;t feed them too many, as they might suffer from a tummy upset and have sever diarrhea. You might want to give them a dog biscuit or pellets to chew on - it%26#039;s healthy for them and is great for their teeth.
Try not to shock them too much. Give them a regular diet - like a commercial small animal mix - but supplement it with treats to give them some variety. Make sure as well that the food is still good to eat. Be sure that vegetables, bread, and other perishables aren%26#039;t moldy or rotten.
Basically, hamsters eat almost anything. But there are some food which are bad for them and we, as their owners, must not give them that. Here are some examples to things which we are not supposed to provide it to them.
Do not feed them: Canned or frozen veggies, anything humans won%26#039;t eat, raw beans, sprouting potato buds, onions, garlic, or toffee. Chocolate is a bad idea too, but there is a special variety of chocolate that%26#039;s sold at pet stores that is safe for animals.
Reply:I%26#039;m not sure on the pomegranate, I don%26#039;t like to share mine here (we don%26#039;t get them often). If it%26#039;s safe for people it should be for hammys too.... My cats loved the alfalfa pellets in the cat food, It muct be a cat eating grass thing...
Reply:Try that one ignorant quote, just re-word it a little bit: FEED %26#039;EM ALL AND LET GOD SORT %26#039;EM OUT!!! Hmmm, I guess that is a bit much considering you%26#039;re talkin about hamsters and all.

I bought some pomegranate seeds for really cheap & I was wondering what kind of recipes I could use them with?
Anyone have ideas?
I bought some pomegranate seeds for really cheap %26amp; I was wondering what kind of recipes I could use them with?
I have the best pomegranite seed salad recipe!
Toss mixed greens, almonds, a soft goat cheese like a chevre, and pomegranite seeds together with a vinaigrette. (You can make your own, so easy! Just mix a little olive oil, some apple cider or balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper together). Finish with a little salt and pepper and enjoy!!
Also, you can crush the seeds and make a pom juice, mix that with some vodka and lime juice, and make pomegranite martinis. Yum!
Or, substitute them for other fruits while making scones.
Reply:i found some really good recipes @ about.com and foodtv.com
Reply:In a salad. Make them into juice. Have them as a topping with ice cream. Sprinkle over cereal.
Reply:usually it is used in mediterranean cuisines, and with the juice from the pomegranite you can usually make grenadine syrup. And you can use the seeds as garnish

Is v8 fusion pomegranate blueberry good for my workout and diet if i drink 2 a day?
Honestly. I%26#039;ve never heard of that..but after a workout, it%26#039;s really important to drink something with alot of protein. Highly recommend a protein shake. Maybe consider drinking something with a high carb and suger to spike your insulin so the nutrients can go into your muscles quicker.

Why is the pomegranate (ροδι) considered lucky?
Because of the many seeds it contains when it breaks, it is a symbol of abundance and fertility.
Why is the pomegranate (ροδι) considered lucky?
What is this contradiction called a pomegranate? The pomegranate is sweet, but the pomegranate is tart. The pomegranate is tough and wrinkled, but when cut open it glistens with ruby-like seeds. In the Greek myth of Persephone, the pomegranate is called the fruit of the underworld, yet in the Muslim Qu%26#039;uran it is called the fruit of paradise.
The inner beauty of the pomegranate has inspired design since Biblical times, and there are some who believe it may be the fruit on the tree of life.
Reply:The pomegranate is considered in many civilizations as the fruit of abundance. In China is given to newly weds to invoke fertility and the same was done in Ancient Greece. In Egypt pomegranates were buried together with the dead.
Zoroastrianism holds it in high respect, and for them the pomegranate being an evergreen plant is considered to be an emblem of immortality of the soul.
This belief with minor differences applies to all the cultures of the region. In all the middle east the pomegranate is considered important as emblem and fruit.

What is a pomegranate?
About the size of a goose egg, growes on a plant, color is orange-red and yellow, fuzz on outside, smells like a melon, seedes like a canalope,Old people say it just smells good, do you know of any other uses ?
What is a pomegranate?
when you eat the red seeds you just eat the red stuff on the outside. then when it is out of juice you spit out the white part. they are really sweet. we have like 5 pomegranate trees at our house and we eat them in the fall months. it is a fruit.
Reply:At times family members go for it alot, especially cold. It does have a lot of seeds in it and the flavor is sweet but a bit tart to dry so it is much better cold. Each seed is encased in a juice pulp and there are irregular beige thin papery sections that run through it.
Even so kids love to break they up in to messy portions and filling up and sqooshing the juice out of it and spitting out the seeds. Usually they are sent out to the yard to enjoy it and they often times get purpley stains running down their arms and chins. Some of the kids do one teeny seed at a time.
The grown ups will use the juice of it in some vegetable dishes or stewey dishes.
They also look nice all polished up in the winter holiday centerpiece fruit bowl and gift baskets
Reply:I do not know exactly what fruit you are describing. I have pomegranate trees. There is no fuzz on them. They have a hard shell covering. There seeds are round - juicy, and this is what you eat. It isn%26#039;t like the seeds of a canalope. They do not grow on plants - they grow on trees. If you do not prune the tree, it would grow as a large shrub. But it would have a %26quot;trunk%26quot; in the center. I also do not consider its%26#039; smell as if a melon. Sorry, I do not have a good answer for your question.
Reply:This grows on a tree, before bareing fruit it gets these beautiful red flowers on the tree. You can crack open one of the pomengranates and eat the seeds. Children love eatting the seeds. Caution the seeds stain your fingers and your clothes. It makes wonderful jelly. They say the seed oil is for oxidation for anti aging... They also say that they are a aphrodisiac....You can boil some of the juice and let it cool and gargle with it to soothe your throat...It makes good martinis
Reply:You eat it it is a fruit
Reply:ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE FRUITS------SPLIT IT OPEN AND JUST EAT THE SEEDS INSIDE MMMMMMMMMMM

Reply:you answered your own question, only use is to eat it or if you a kid, flick the pip bits everywhere to annoy parents
