Do you ever use pomegranate juice in cooking?

I have a couple of times. What do YOU do with it? What do you use it for?

Baking torts.
Reply:Use it all the time. Makes a great vinagrette - pom juice, olive oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. I also make a great glaze for meats - steaks, roasts, chops. In saucepan, place 2 cups pom juice, 1 tspn salt, 1/2 cup honey, 1 tspn pepper, pinch cayanne pepper, 1 clove garlic, minced. Cook this until it becomes thick and syrupy. Glaze meats with this. Also excellent as a ham glaze.
Reply:drink it straight
Reply:No, only in drinking.

Dryed peel of pomegranate or ( its rind) is melted to :

1- Henna leaves in order to darken the dyeing of hairs.

2- Snail cooking (traditionnal recipe).

3-As a medicine plant (astringent) for gastritis for example.
